RSS Feeds
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows you to use a news reader or feed aggregator to gather various news sources found throughout the web. The City of Salinas has made a number of feeds available in RSS 2.0 format which can be added through E-Mail applications such as Microsoft Outlook 2007 
and Yahoo! Mail . Once you subscribe to a feed, you will always have the latest information as your RSS reader automatically retrieves the RSS feeds.
If your news reader doesn't automatically recognize these feeds, you may need to manually add them to your news reader by copying and pasting the URL link to each RSS feed. If you need more information on RSS feeds, please visit our
