A Vision Plan For
Carr Lake Regional Park

This study provides the City of Salinas a vision for Carr Lake Regional Park. This site is located in the heart of the City and today is a flood control basin planted in agriculture and under private ownership. This project intends to bring awareness to the City and its residents of the vital role Carr Lake plays in connecting regional landscapes to meet the needs of human inhabitants and natural resources.

NOTE: The files below are huge! You should only try to open them if you have a high-speed Internet connection such as DSL, cable modem, or T1. Even then, you will have to be patient.

You can also download the compressed files which are in Adobe format. They will download faster but will still require patience. You must have an uncompressing program (eg. Winzip) to open the files. Downloadable files are listed at the end of the index below.

Copies of the paper document may be purchased from City Hall for $55 each. Copies are also available on CD-ROM in Adobe PDF format for $5.00 each. Contact Recreation-Park at 831-758-7217 or come to City Hall, 200 Lincoln Avenue, Salinas.
