1400 Rider Ave.
Built in 2000

Station
5 is the Department's newest Station. Opened in 2000 the
Station is located in the fastest growing area of Salinas.
Also at Station 5 is the Department's 1917 LaFrance Pumper.
The old pumper was originally purchased by Salinas and taken
out of service in the 1960s. The Station's crew has also
restored a 1972 Ward LaFrance to be used in Parades and
Fire Department functions.

The 1917 LaFrance
Station 5 has many historical items on display. They refer
to themselves as "The Restoration Station". The LaFrance
is being prepared to participate in an event downtown.
