Online Auctions for Miscellaneous Items
The City of Salinas has contracted the services of PropertyRoom.com, a web-based public auction company for the disposal of surplus city property and unclaimed property held by the police department. Their website is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Initial notice of the auction will be published twice in the Salinas Californian prior to the first auction date. After that, city items will continue to be sold on the propertyroom.com website. Terms and conditions are posted on the propertyroom.com website.

Surplus and unclaimed property varies from year to year, but generally includes, stereos, tools, clothing, electronic equipment, office equipment, miscellaneous house hold items, cameras, computers, jewelry, and bicycles.

Nationwide Auction Systems will be selling the City’s surplus vehicles and heavy equipment on consignment. Their facility is at 1 Oak Road, Benecia, CA 94510.
