Planning and Development
Community
Planning and Development (CPD) oversees the development of
private land within the City of Salinas. Using the City's
General Plan for policy direction, the CPD develops and implements
more specific regulations governing zoning and subdivision
of land. Community Planning and Development administers the
Zoning Code and Zoning Map and processes development applications
and Code revisions. Applications accepted by CPD include Conditional
Use Permits, General Plan Amendments, Lot Line Adjustments,
minor and major Subdivisions. Planned Unit Development Permits,
Rezoning requests, Sign Reviews, Site plan Reviews, Temporary
Use of Land Permits, Variances and Zoning Code Amendments.

Development Standards Plan Available For Review
The Development Standards Plan which contains requirements for compliance with the new NPDES development requirements is now available for downloading, review and comment.
