DOCUMENTS
The
City of Salinas General Plan is a very large set of documents with
numerous maps, drawings, and figures. It has been separated into
topics to help decrease download times but some of the files will
still take time to receive.
The
HTML files are small enough to open in a short time on a dial-up
connection and contain all the information, although most of the
photos have been removed.
The PDF documents are useful for printing all or some of the pages
but they take longer to open. On a 56k dialup connection it takes
about 5 minutes per megabyte to open a complete file. A high-speed
connection such as DSL should open the PDF documents in a reasonable
time. The size of the PDF documents has been noted.
Most
of the figures have been removed and placed in separate files. These
figures may be viewed by clicking on the name of the figure number
in the table below, or on the link in the HTML versions.
The General Plan is available for viewing at City Hall and the three
City Libraries. A copy of the General Plan may be purchased at the
Community Development Department.
