SALINAS REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

MINUTES OF MEETING

MAY 11, 2004

 

The Agency convened in regular session at 5:30 p.m. in the Rotunda.

CONSENT RESOLUTION

Upon motion by Councilmember De La Rosa and second by Councilmember Lutes, Council voted unanimously to adopt the Consent Resolution.

 

1.      Approved minutes of May 4, 2004.

2.      Approved Financial Claim Report.

 

PUBLIC HEARING

3.      Agreement with Salinas Valley Railroad Modeling and Historical Society for the Railway Express Agency Building at the Salinas Intermodal Transportation Center

Alan Stumpf, Redevelopment Project Manager, presented his report.

 

Chairperson Caballero opened the public hearing. 

 

Mark Dorman, President of the Monterey Salinas Valley Railroad, spoke in support of the amendment.

 

AGENCY ACTION

Upon motion by Agency member Barnes and second by Agency member Lutes, the Agency voted unanimously to adopt RESOLUTION 818 approving an amended and restated lease with the Monterey and Salinas Valley Railroad Modeling and Historical Society for the Railway Express Agency building at the Salinas Intermodal Transportation Center.
