LIBRARY COMMISSION MEETING

The City Council will meet at 4 pm Tuesday, November 16 to discuss the budget in view of the election results for ABC tax measures.  Library closures will be discussed.  It is very important for Commissioners to attend this meeting if at all possible.  Since several items on our agenda will relate to their decisions and discussion, the Council meeting will be important background for our meeting.

1.       PUBLIC COMMENTS  Receive public communication from audience on items not on the agenda.  The public may comment on scheduled agenda items as they are considered by the Library Commission.

3.       APPROVE SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 10, 2004

 

4.       APPROVE MINUTES OF AUGUST 18, 2004

 

5.       APPROVE SPECIAL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2004

 

6.       RECEIVE REPORT FROM JORGE RIFA, DEPUTY CITY MANAGER, ON STATUS OF CITY AND LIBRARIES AFTER THE FAILURE OF TAX MEASURES

 

7.       RECEIVE REPORT FROM JAN NEAL ON ACTIONS AND TIMING REQUIRED FOR LIBRARY CLOSURES

 

8.       RECEIVE REPORT  FROM FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY  AND ABC  COMMITTEE ON THE ELECTION AND OPTIONS BEING CONSIDERED

 

9.       DISCUSS LIBRARY COMMISSION ACTION FOR DECEMBER 7TH  CITY COUNCIL MEETING – MAKE RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL
